Dear Roja, why are the parameters on which you chose the winner should not be disclosed to the public?

Is there anything indecent or political there, like, for example, one's caste, the pull or social status?

I thought that these parameters should bear some reference to the 10 qualities of a dancer from Natya Shastra, shouldn't they?

Could you please write more about what exactly are those technicalities where the dancers take an easy approach?

A friend of mine watched K.M.D. Mathula, and she said that although Mathula's nritta was not as accentuated/crisp and brisk as Suvarchala's, still Mathula was far superior as far as abhinaya goes, and there was no artificiality at all. Mathula was spontaneous and natural in everything she did. She was far superior in grace and expressiveness.

How did you weigh the nritta parameters versus abhinaya?

By the way, we should ask Anita Ratnam to update Suvarchala's phone number in the Narthaki's directory.
