I do have a Master's degree in English Literature and I think I can comment a bit about languages. All languages have dialects. In England, there is the Cockney, proper Oxford English, Kentish, Scottish, Irish. Similarly, Anerican have their own way of speaking English. So do Australians and New Zealanders. It does not mean that one way is better than the other. Cultural influences play a huge part in the way a language is spoken. Tamil is the same way. There is Madras bhashay, Brahmin tamil, Coimbatore tamil etc etc. Discrimination is wrong but you cannot find fault with a group of people just because they are speaking a language in their dialect. You are now showing reverse discrimination in finding fault with a dialect.
