Iam Rajeshkarma from Kalakshetra ,after securing a vast experince in the field of traditional Bharathnatyam dance Instructor/performer/choreographer/make-up and costume designer in "Kalakshetra foundation" Chennai, an international fine arts college, with around 10 years of industry expertise, and over five years in a reputed institution.
However i am not a dance teacher, i have also learned vocal classical music while i was studying my diploma in dance. As a result, i was
able to Nattuvangam (making musical beats in synchrony with the foot tappings of the dancer) and also give a mood to create the deep expression on the face of the dancer by renting the music in its defferent and beatiful sangathies. Lots of years of experience in this field has made me an expert in theatrical choreography(Special and recent dance -drama production on DASAVATHAR on Swathithirunal's krithi ,RAMAYANA -dance drama based on the blend of Ramanataka keerthanams and Thyagaraja's keerthamans ) , choreography in fusion (choreographed and performed two group fusion shows, one on AIDS for an aids awareness campaign and the other on TSUNAMI in Belgium) as well as traditional performances, the art of character make-up, costume design for such roles as birds, animals, traditional characters as well as stage decoration in accordance with the show's theme requirements etc, I have been in this field for five years now after completing a 7-year course from the same insititution. I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Bharathnatyam. I am also privately trained in Kuchipudi, a popular classical form of dance in South India. I have performed in protagonist roles in such countries
as Belgium, Germany, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Reunion Islands etc,I have several awards such as "Spirit of Youth for Excelllence in Dance" from Music Academy, a world-renowned centre for art forms in South india.
