Dear friends in Dance,
I was very much part of the show that ramaa is hyping so much about.
the show came out very well, as it brought to life so many of the old classic pieces to life.
and the fact that it has touched her so much proves that the show was successful and thats why the bitter/sour,ness.
why so much hyprocrisy i fail to understand when every person who is an accomplished bharatanatyam exponent and others who aspire to be there learn and execute these pieces with so much ease and expertise. they also earn praise and accolades for the performing the same pieces.
the same rama bharadwaj, described lord Shiva on stage as a WIERDO for having his body besmeared with ashes and wearing skulls around his neck. i have been witness to one of the arangetrams she conducted this summer. and so much drama in her narrations, that it made the arangetram loose all its classicism.
anyways, i pray senior artists like this stop hurling pebbles in dung for it dirties the person throwing the pebbles.
