Is it really even possible to dissect an artist's veiwpoint objectively without attacking the individual? I mean seriously, DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE THAT? I don't know what part of an individual would not be affected by his/her viewpoints...And we are talking about artists here...People who are constantly trying to express themselves and their...yeah you guessed it...VIEWPOINTS!

Art criticism? Since when did sitting on a pedestal, clutching on to some semblance of political commentary, dismissing new talent constitute art criticism? Smells like hypocrisy to me...

And since we are comparing art criticism in the West and in India, let's not forget that the West has made its journey toward structural art criticism. Let's not pretend we are doing that! Critiquing content within the confines of second wave feminism is so 60s. Puhleeeeeease!

While one must say that you, Anita, and you, Ramaa are *trying* to move into the realm of serious art criticism, one cannot help wonder why you chose to dissect the viewpoints of new and upcoming talent in this way! The strategic thing to do would be to attack some of the big wigs who represent these objectionable "viewpoints".

Did Iraq have any weapons of mass destruction? Nah-uh. Does North Korea have weapons of mass destruction. Oh YEAH! But then, we all know who Bush chose to attack in order to uncover weapons of mass destruction.
