Is the attempt to educate the audience to develop better taste or to educate the performing artiste? Or to help draw newer audiences to view the work? Or to push bad work out of the dance circuit?

What does the writer hope will happen because of their criticism? Is it thought leadership for other viewers to subscribe to? In some cases,I have noted a cult culture with blind followers who subscribe to an intellectually arrogant point of view ... How will we avert that danger? If the writing is to awaken us to good art, this in itself can get us in a particular mode of thought, condescending of all others ...
