The average fee for private class in USA is only $25.Where did you get $30/$60 Rates.$25/hour converts to Rs 1250/hour.When my daughter went to learn in India I paid Rs 1000/hour and it did seem way too much for the Indian market.The teacher on the whole might be getting rs 500 for 4 classes in India.Does it seem reasonable at all.In addition to this fees if you are not from Chennai you have boarding ,lodging and transport expenses which makes our dream of getting a good teacher ( for a middle class NRI) just impossible
