I am a dancer and I caught a screening of Sringaram in LA. I am sure the film has glitches but I found it difficult to compare it with anything else given the fact that all Indians at home and here are exposed to the bolywood type all the time. I found it to be sensual, with a soul, and really very very different from anything else. The music, camera,choreography and screenplay were pretty much top end. It also had a quiet intensity that I liked very much. I find the "reader" comments really quite over-the-top frivolous and resentful of something good.
