I too agree. But I see that more in US or only in US. Whether it is the Tajore quartets, Rukmini Devi or the doyens of yesteryears or even today's like Dhanajayans, Leela Samson, Kalanidhi Narayanan, Rajratnam Pillai, CV Chandrashekar..you name them..they are known by their students. But in US the scene is totally different. The best talented students are neglected. The dancer teachers have turned their daughters into child prodigies, winning coveted spots in every performance, festival etc, they get featured in magazines, national dailies etc. This is not limited to one city but every small and big city across the nation.
