Alaknanda Institute for Performing Arts was established in 1990 with the sole purpose of promoting pure classical art and culture to the society. The Institute has earned the reputation of being a hard core professional institute and also for training disciples into scholarship holders in the field of Kathak, Hindustani vocal music, Tabla, Guitar and Keyboard. Alaknanda Institute for Performing Arts has been successfully promoting the rich Indian classical culture for over a decade. The institute is affiliated to Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Mumbai and also prides in being the examination centre for the East Delhi Zone. The performing art section under the Gandharva degree include Kathak dance, Hindustani vocal music, tabla and keyboard. The Art & Crafts department is affiliated to Bangiya Sangeeet Kala Kendra, Kolkata. The aim of the institute is not just to facilitate the students with the degrees but to give them the real essence of the art styles. |
