The National Folklore Support Centre is starting an Indian School of Folklore at its premises in Chennai at the end of July 2005. M D Muthukumaraswamy, director of the centre says the school will provide a transformative learning experience and offers a post graduate diploma in folklore and community empowerment, plus training for schoolteachers. Besides this, there will be certificate courses and workshops for all age groups in subjects like puppetry and toy making. Contact:
