Purva School of Bharatanatyam

Purva School of Bhartanatyam, a leading dance institute in Baroda, Gujarat, was established in 1983 by Sharad Pandya, with the aim of promoting the rich art and cultural heritage of India. Intensive training is imparted in the Bharatanatyam style. 

It is affiliated to Nalanda Dance & Research Centre, Mumbai.

As a specialized institution it consists of two branches 
- The first branch is related to teaching and training 
- Another branch is that of the performing group. Apart from regular performances, the troupe has performed for various charitable and social organizations. Purva frequently invites and felicitates renowned artists of this field.

Purva follows the ‘Gurukul Parampara’ of Indian culture. Approximately 150 students enroll in Purva every year and find a home away from home.
