Venkatakrishna is the disciple of gurus P V G Krishna Sharma, P Seshu
Babu. She also trained under Vedantham Sathyanarayana Sharma in Kuchipudi.
She is the founder director of ‘Nrithyalaya’ at Neyveli, imparting training
in Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam.
She
has trained more than 200 students who have given nearly 300 performances
in India and abroad, including major dance festivals and have been recognized
for their achievements. Some of them have even chosen dance as their career.
Sowmya
Jayachandran started learning Kuchipudi at the age of 8. Through dedication
and hard work, she has been able to learn dance with the correct traditional
approach, combining rhythmic footwork with apt abhinaya. In addition, she
is also trained in music and Bharatanatyam. |
