David Bolland’s best
known film on Kathakali is “Masque of Malabar,” which he filmed at various
places between 1964 and 1971. A shorter version won 24 major awards at
amateur international film festivals in the UK, US, Canada, Australia and
countries in Europe, including the Cannes Film Festival.
