Choreographer Malathi Iyengar is the recipient of the 2013 C.O.L.A Choreography Fellowship from the City of Los Angeles and the 2010 Lester Horton Award for Outstanding Achievement in World Dance for her choreography ‘Shivaya.’ Iyengar is a recipient of numerous awards for her choreographic works and is recognized as a Master Artist of Bharatanatyam dance by the Alliance for California Traditional Artists.
Established in 1985, The Rangoli Foundation celebrated a significant milestone of 25 years of creativity and artistic excellence in 2010. In recognition, the Los Angeles County Arts Commission and City of Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department have honored Rangoli Foundation with a Certificate and Resolution.
