Bharatanatyam tour of Sri Lanka

Under the direction of Guru Usha Raghavan, Kalasagara UK will present a series of Bharatanatyam performances in Sri Lanka in different venues and towns from July 26 to August 1, 2015.

Nurturing excellence in Bharatanatyam and imparting the art in its pure form are the primary aims of Kalasagara UK. This tour gives the students an opportunity to perform for the rasikas in Sri Lanka and to understand and appreciate the highly valued and cherished local Sri Lankan culture and traditions.

Usha Raghavan is an acclaimed Bharatanatyam dancer, choreographer and teacher hailing from Chennai. She has been propagating the art across Europe through her institute in London. Kalasagara, the Academy of Fine Arts, was founded in 1972 in Chennai. Usha established Kalasagara UK nearly two decades ago.
