DRISHTI NATIONAL DANCE FESTIVAL 2017, celebrating Indian genres of art forms will be held on Saturday, 21st January 2017, 6pm at Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Vyalikaval, Bengaluru. Brainchild of Bharatanatyam dancer Anuradha Vikranth and her husband TM Vikranth, the 12th edition of Drishti, will bring together world class performers from the field of dance.
“Mayura Sandesha”, a Nirupama Chitra Nritya by Anuradha Vikranth
‘Mayura Sandesha’ is a solo dance narrative elucidating the longing of the tribal heroine Valli, for her beloved hero Skanda. A unique ‘Chitra Nritya’ technique is introduced in this dance feature where the dancer dances on a spread canvass. While dancing, the peacock is drawn with her feet, making the beautiful bird her messenger to bring back her beloved hero.
‘Aakash' by Natya & STEM Dance Kampni
A contemporary aerial choreography along with the choreographic dance numbers, creating a unique mosaic of images. Directed by Madhu Nataraj
‘Lasya Mohana’ by Gopika Varma and ensemble

Drishti Art Foundation
Drishti Art Foundation, established by TM Vikranth and Bharatanatyam dancer Anuradha Vikranth from Bangalore, is dedicated to nurture, promote and propagate classical arts. Its main activities include - imparting training in dance; publishing 'Drishti', an exclusive magazine on dance and music; organising workshops, seminars and dance festivals; and collaborating with other cultural organizations to promote art.
Activities of Drishti Art Centre
-Drishti Art Centre currently trains over 300 students in Bharatanatyam by Anuradha Vikranth.
-Drishti magazine is one of the most popular quarterly magazines in Karnataka on art, dance and music. It strives to entertain, inform and instruct readers.
-Drishti Dance Ensemble: Drishti Art Centre also promotes young talented dancers by giving them a platform to perform through Drishti Dance Ensemble.
-Drishti with others: Drishti organises workshops, seminars and so on in collaboration with other cultural organizations to promote classical arts.
Anuradha Vikranth is known for her creativity, vibrancy and grace. Over the years, she has broadened her artistic vision, expanded her skills through several innovations and created a niche for herself in the field of dance. She has given many performances on prestigious occasions both in India and other countries and won appreciation from the critics and art lovers alike.
Anuradha is the founder and director of ‘Drishti Art Centre,’ a premier dance institute, where she imparts training in Bharatanatyam to aspiring students. She is the co-founder and creative director of ‘Drishti,’ an exclusive magazine on dance and music.
Anuradha is an ‘A’ graded artist of Doordarshan. She holds a Master’s Degree in Bharatanatyam. She is currently the secretary of World Dance Alliance –Karnataka Chapter.
Anuradha has established herself as a dancer, choreographer, teacher and also an able organizer. She along with her husband, Vikranth, is the architect of the annual Drishti National Dance festival since 2006.
