FROM THE HORSE'S MOUTH offers a special performance showcasing the diversity and influences of Indian Dance on the world's cultural life from ancient roots to Bollywood.

FROM THE HORSE’S MOUTH (conceived & directed by Tina Croll and Jamie Cunningham, and now in its 20th year) presents “A Celebration of Indian Dance in America” featuring over 30 dancers and musicians from pioneers to current practitioners and future stars, including Bijayini Satpathy, Surupa Sen, Hari Krishnan, Anita Ratnam, Prashant Shah, Aniruddha Knight & Uttara Coorlawala – curated by Rajika Puri.

April 26 @ 6:30pm: Special Event “A Century of Indian Dance in America 1906-2017” – Slide lectures & mini lec-dems on Pioneers of Indian dance, and a variety of dance forms, plus a panel discussion led by Anita Ratnam.

April 27, 28, 29 @ 8pm & April 30th @3pm: The full show with 21 stories and improvised movement sections - in a range of dance forms from Bharatanatyam to Bollywood.
