Rasika Arts Foundation was established by Kiran Subramanyam and Sandhya Kiran in 1990, the ideology of its fabric firmly entrenched in Indian tenures, technique and tradition. Over the last three decades, Rasika has carved a distinct niche for itself at the national and international levels. Major productions like Prerana, Bhavya Rama Katha, Yatra, Tandava, Maanini, Murali Gaana as also smaller ones like Layam-Lasyam, Rangoli, Thani Avartanam etc produced by the academy have received widespread critical acclaim. The long standing dream of Rasika to popularise the classical arts and to create world class dancers has borne fruit- with every performance Rasika rewrites cliches and sets new standards for excellence, making classicism relevant in a contemporary society.
