The 38th Natya Kala Conference, 'Aneka - Many a hue, Many a moment' is a vibrant kaleidoscope celebrating Indian dance in all its hues and diversity. The five-day conference between December 26 to December 30, brings together and focuses on a variety of dance styles categorized as three distinct verticals - Timeless, Transformed and #Trending.
Each idea or subject discussed at Aneka, will explore in depth, a specific element or aspect of a particular dance style. Aneka aims to create, both for the artiste and the audience, an experience that is splendored, yet is intricate and detailed.
Dr. Srinidhi Chidambaram
Dr. Srinidhi Chidambaram has carved a niche for herself in the field of Bharatanatyam for the last 40 years. Starting at the tender age of four, she had her initial training from Kamala. She then trained extensively under Swamimalai SK Rajarathnam, one of the foremost gurus of the Vazhuvoor style. She is also an immensely talented choreographer with several thematic productions to her credit, has performed on prestigious platforms across the globe and has several awards and accolades to her credit.
Dr. Srinidhi Chidambaram has convened and conceptualized Aneka, the 38th Natya Kala Conference for the third time in a row after two successful editions of the Natya Kala Conference in 2016 and 2017. Also a medical doctor, she has graduated from the Madras Medical College with a MD in Public Health, and currently works at Apollo Hospitals.
