Artists Unite
Resist Hate, Celebrate Love
Red Fort, 11am to 10pm
March 2 & 3, 2019 New Delhi

Feb 27, 2019

The Artists Unite event in Delhi has been a thrilling coming together of artists and writers committed to going out in the public and speaking, performing and singing for democracy and against hate. On Wednesday morning the Artists Unite crews will move into the 15 August Park at Red Fort to build the infrastructure for the Chalo Lal Qila event this weekend. The schedule had all the details, as well as the incredible list of over 200 artists and writers who will be a part of it.

Many of you are signatories to the Declaration that describes our intentions, and which has already been signed by over 700 artists. That has been an incredible vindication that Artists Unite! fulfills a critical need of our times.

Some of you have also responded to our earlier requests for financial support. Today we’re writing to urge all of you to contribute.
We’re in urgent need of funds: first rate sound equipment, rainproof covers for the stages, security, sanitation: the arrangements for several thousand people who will gather at the historic 15 August Park, Red Fort requires funds.

If each one of you sends in just 2000 - and some of you can certainly do more - we’ll be home on the financial front. So please contribute, and to do it today. Do it now.
