Celebrating milestones in dance - 50 years of performing and 20 years of teaching
One of the senior most disciples of the legendary and eminent guru KJ Sarasa, Srekala Bharath has followed her guru's footsteps with devotion and great commitment. Yatra is Srekala's celebration of her dance - fifty years as a noteworthy student of a stalwart guru, performing under the guru's guidance and slowly blossoming into a solo performer. And to continue the rich legacy of her guru, launching Thejas School of Performing Arts that is well into twenty years of training and chiseling to perfection over 400 students. The legacy of her grand guru continues as rich as ever.
Yatra, being presented on 6 July 2019, 5pm onwards at Narada Gana Sabha, Chennai, is a medley of activities that culminates in recognizing, honoring and rewarding the spirit of dance.

50 years of dance; 20 years of creating and nurturing a dance school... It is with great pride combined with humility that I celebrate this unique milestone with an intent to acknowledge my guru K J Sarasa, and reflect upon the yatra, my journey in dance that has brought me this far. Each and every one of you has contributed in enabling me reach this milestone and I hope you will partake and participate in a celebration that recognises it.
