 Dear Anita,
Your review made me think. This December especially I felt really down in the dumps after watching a couple of performances of leading dancers.I was depressed to see the falling standards that was becoming so rampant that I felt," don't we owe a moral responsibility to the next generation of dancers to safeguard that which has been so carefully handed over to us by our Gurus and Stalwarts in the field and preserve the purity of the art form?' That's when I thought of what my Gurus always used to advise, do not lose your conviction,Believe in what you do and this will surely stand the test of all these influences, which are only temporary. What is permanent is your art that is pure and no force on earth can touch it or pollute it.So I carry on with renewed vigour and enthusiasm in my journey fired by the constant words of wisdom from my great Gurus. Now I have no fear , no depression,no anxieties only a renewed sense of energy and enthusiasm to move forward.Bharathanatyam will stand the test of time. That's for sure.Bye
Roja Kannan.
