Dance sounds like a very exciting profession to your daughter, now when she has you to feed her and clothe her, but it is a very hard career to live solely on. I recommend that she take a degree from college and then pursue her training in Kalakshetra, so that she has a backup. I am not degrading dance, but merely acknowledging the fact that in today's society it is very hard to survive as an artist. Often time, dancers might even have to forgoe a bit of their quality for the sake of paying their rent. On the other hand, if you have a day job and pursue dance as a second profession you can often do more justice to the artform because you have a steady income to rely on for more resources and opportunities. Many people, especially in the case for NRIS respect you more as a dancer if you have an additional education or degree. Just my opinion on the matter!
