<<<
<i>‘Samanvaya’ has been presented to wide acclaim, in major theatres in India and abroad - at the Theatre de la Ville in Paris, <snip> ... The Edinburgh International Festival, <snip> ... France, Poland, Spain, Hungary </i>

and a critic gushes:

<<<
<i>Alarmel Valli and Madhavi Mudgal’s collaboration Samanvaya flew gracefully in the face of tradition by juxtaposing the respective performance styles of these two world-class dancers…” Donald Hutera, ‘The Times’, Edinburgh.</i>
>>>

jesus christ! this only goes to show what empty-headed idiots dance-critics are! if someone has enough star power, they will bow down their feather-stuffed heads and pick up their pen and gush gush gush.

you know, this is where you can really see the difference between ballet and bharata natyam. the great ballet companies have self-respect and respect for their art and you will never see them mingling with another dance-form on the stage. and rightly so. whereas our leading dancers are so cheap cheap cheap. they will sell out just to get into some international festival. shame on them!
