Arangetram discussion

It was interesting to read the arangetram debate on the main page. There is also another bunch of modest arangetrams that take place in US that seems to be lowprofile....and that is of some of the parents who have learnt dance to inspire their kids and go on to do a modest arangetram amidst famly and friends circle..they do a pot-luck of sorts instead of catering and the teacher also goes all out to help the adult students. further, there are also growing number of adults who could not learn dance in India because of their academic pursuits and after moving to US and being settled, they learn dance and do arangetrams without elaborate displays. They are very endearing performances and very honest because of the adult performer's age perhaps. No frills, no show and tell but just a sincere and earnest performance. The shyness of the performer is obvious and the affection showered by the audience is very unconditional.
