“Dance Conversations: Indian Dance in Southern California, a Retrospective” spotlighting the inspiring story of Bharatanatyam artiste and Arpana collaborator, Dominique Delorme. Ramya and Dominique Delorme discussed the importance of the teacher-student relationship, Indian dance’s evolution, its ability to change lives, and transcend cultures.
The episode will be available on Arpana Dance Company’s YouTube channel only for two weeks, so be sure to catch it before it’s gone.

Arpana Dance Company presented interview series: DANCE CONVERSATIONS - INDIAN DANCE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, a Retrospective taking viewers on a cultural journey, as Ramya Harishankar spoke to collaborators, mentors, students, peers, and scholars to holistically capture Indian dance’s growth and influence, not just in the U.S., but all over the world.
Recorded over the course of 2020, this 10-episode series has brought together a guest lineup that truly represents the impact of Arpana’s nearly 40 years of work, and how it will continue to shape Indian Dance’s space in the American Arts scene.
At 5 pm PST on July 3rd, on Arpana Dance Company’s YouTube channel, with new episodes premiering every other Saturday. Each episode will only be up for two weeks after it’s posted.

Theatre Nisha's next online offering of stories was of the PANCHA-KANYAS - Ahalya, Draupadi, Kunti, Tara and Mandodari, across five days. The storytelling was facilitated by V Balakrishnan (Founder and Artistic Director of Theatre Nisha, Chennai) and Uma Sathya Narayanan (Bharatanatyam dancer and Carnatic singer).
