My answer to "How do you explain someone finding beauty in a particular dance move and someone finding the very same move inappropriate" would be "Please read http://www.auroville.org/environment/villages/vill_legend.htm and tell me why it was only 1 person (the enlightened 1) from among the gathering who saw Lord Shiva in Valli's dancing, while the ignorant and blind crowd failed to perceive Valli's dancing in the same way.

"trying to keep an open mind" is a lame western invention of a rational mind that is trying to go beyond its narrow boundaries.

"Concept of beauty" does not belong to the realm of the rational mind, this is why you cannot see much beauty in the rationalistic cultures like the USA.
