Arangetram - Yes or No

Dear ones :
I live in Tuticorin, Tamilnadu. I am planning to have the Arangetram of my students in June, 2007. In fact the cost of it all is too scary!! And all the messages I saw in this forum makes me shudder !! Though I dont want a Cut or a Percentage for myself and dont want to burn holes in the pockets of the poor parents, it is a fact that they want to have an "Arangetram" which leaves me with no other option but to go ahead with it!! They feel it is the only proof that the children have learned something. In a small city like Tuticorin, orchestra has to be imported from other cities like Chennai or Trivandrum. Even a group ARangetram is going to cost nice money!! Each has to spend atleast Rs.20,000. (I am planning for a group of 4) including orchestra, costume and jewellery !! I am wondering whether to go in for a "live" event or a simple performance in a nice temple auditorium with some clean recorded items available in cassettes / CDs?? Of course the "Live" event has its own advantages. And it will help us establish a name for us in this city :) Please give me your suggestions :
