I am glad that comments are coming in various tones and timbres about the article. I have NOT seen the NATYA dance company often enough to comment of their dancers but Krithika IS gorgeous and she is a good dancer. The subject of dancers and their daughters could become another article but presently, another daughter, Mythli Prakash, has made the committment to dance and moved to Chennai from California-AND she is also a very good dancer!
Kapila ji is a wonderful speaker, someone dancers must listen to - caste no bar! A rare mind indeed!
After attending and listening to a wasted discussion at the Music Academy coffee shop one afternoon last week that was moderated by Priyadarshini Govind, I left shuddering in horror about what we are about to witness in the name of dance conferences during December in this city. Mostly long-winded speeches filled with whining and blame filled nearly two hours. It was a waste of time. Give me a vigorous debate anyday overseas that rarely occurs in this hyper political dance scene in India!
