choreographer, dancer and Artistic Director of Nritarutya was invited by
Sampad and Hippodrome jointly to choreograph for the Birmingham International
Dance Festival, where she worked with 75 dancers to choreograph the opening
and finale of the festival. This included dancers from various youth dance
groups from across the West Midlands. She also choreographed a Bollywood
contemporary production for the festival.
"I was interviewed
by BBC, Pulse magazine and other media houses as an Indian ambassador of
the festival," she says, happiness writ large on her face.
At the Birmingham
International Dance Festival, her work was showcased on May 4, 2008 at
the Town Hall, Birmingham.
