Fourth annual dance competition at Cincinnati

Hindu Society of Greater Cincinnati conducted their 4th annual Mela dance competition on Saturday, Sept. 25th 2004. Fifty dancers took part in this competition. In the classical category, this competition showcased performances in Bharata Natyam, Kuchipudi and Odissi dance styles. Thousands of people attended this annual event. They had opportunity to enjoy the elegant performances of these young women.  

The winners in the classical category are: 

Senior Category (ages 11 & above): 
1st Prize - Meena Apurva 
2nd Prize - Samantha Vance 
3rd prize - Sri Chandana Rajmouli 
4th Prize - Lakshmi Geddam 

Junior Category (ages 10 & below): 
1st Prize - Shivani Desai 
2nd Prize - Anosha Minai 
3rd Prize - Ahana Sen 
4th prize - Sneha Gandavarapu 

Out of the eight prizes, seven prizes were won by students from Cultural Centre of India's dance studio located in Cincinnati.
