Following the Coalition's merger with Chicago Music Alliance to form Chicago Dance and Music Alliance that year, the Alliance undertook a review of the awards in an effort to assure that they better reflected the full range of dance in the Chicago area. These Awards continue to be the benchmark of excellence

Chicago Dance and Music Alliance provides direct services to members engaged in all genres of dance and music in the Chicago area, acts as an advocate on their behalf, and disseminates information about their activities to the general public through its website at www.chicagoperformances.org.
