Thks for your interest, some of my research in the shastra I have as a raw
manuscript form, post your email here and I will mail you a copy, then its easier to discuss.

PS work is a giant one indeed, which owes respect. But what is the difference to Cidambaram temple, were all the 108 postures on the Gopuram are depicted there? I guess in the west more people would like to see such a collection on a e-platform like Second Life, where other major cities are rebuilt, it would be much less expensive.

I have read that Ranidavid has a good copy of the shastra available, but it`s said
to be difficult to contact her? Maybe she is very busy collecting DVD`s?

I am living within a few miles of the tomb of the saintly late Guru Gyan Prakash, who studied Sangeet by himself and founded Gyanashram at Mumbai. So I naturally follow some of his advises. His life and teachings remain unpublished yet. When I searched in India for shastras I failed to meet him, but I regained some of his videos, for me he was very successful and his ashram upto today is doing a lot to help dancers from ewvery walk of life. I hope to visit someday to know more. I have been told that retired Baroda Art Prof. Chandrashekar now lives near Chennai, he would probably know
about the all the Karanas and things related.

Personally I follow the ancient triune Sangeet, sanskr. Tauryatrika. The shastra held that music was threefold and cannot be separated, that is vocal song, instrumental music and bodylanguage cannot be seperated. So to my understanding I had to reconstruct the shastra first to be able to understand ancient indian music, which is different from today. Then one can understand nrtyam (dance) in the respective order. Since it was impossible to find a guru with this understanding, I did not have to spent any fees but to finance my own research.
